Centuries of Tomfoolery: Trick Glasses, Pipes, & Whimsical Delights at the WheatonArts Museum of American Glass
For centuries, glassmakers have skillfully crafted ingenious objects for communal entertainment. Whether intricately designed or deceptively simple, they prompt us to reflect on evolving cultural mores and society's sense of humor at specific points in time. Come explore cleverly recreated glassblowing feats from the past and objects that push the boundaries of contemporary functional art in the new exhibit, "Centuries of Tomfoolery: Trick Glasses, Pipes, & Whimsical Delights!"
The exhibit is on display in the Museum of American Glass at WheatonArts, open 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Thursday through Sunday until the end of 2024. Plan your visit at wheatonarts.org.
