Indoor Fun: Museums
The Best Cold Weather Indoor Museums for the Entire Family
Gridiron Glory football exhibit at the Liberty Science Center
This January, NJ Kids is spotlighting many of the great indoor activities around our tri-state area - and with the cold and snowy weather, it's nice to know there are so many places to visit where we can learn, have fun AND keep warm. Museums are a great place to start - a perfect activity for the entire family: there is art and science at the Newark Museum, a Lego Exhibit at the Morris Museum, and the Gridiron Glory football exhibit at the Liberty Science Center. Step into the butterfly atrium at The World of Wings in Teaneck, stare up at dinosaurs at the American Museum of Natural History in NYC, or unravel the mysteries of mummies at the Penn Museum in Philadelphia . And, of course, there are hands-on museums for the younger set, including Garden State Discovery Museum in Cherry Hill, Imagine That in Florham Park and Bucks County Children's Museum in New Hope, PA. The possibilities are endless - and NJ Kids is your one stop resource guide. Click here to take a look at our museum page. We've even found a bunch of great museum special events, so keep your calendar handy! Stay warm and have fun!
