NJ Kids Suburban 'This Day In History' - Did you know that on this day in 1964 Martin Luther King received the Nobel Peace Prize. He was the youngest man to be awarded this honor – and upon learning he had won, King announced that he would turn over the prize money of $54,123 to the furtherance of the civil rights movement.
To our teachers and scout leaders, remember Dr. King and check out the Kidsbridge Tolerance Museum at the College of New Jersey. They offer a variety of programs for elementary school students through high school students, building tolerance and awareness. And don’t forget, you can always check out other great field trip and group activity ideas on our website.
