Karate Program specifically designed for children and now adults with autism and other special needs

George Bostory, a certified special education teacher and three-time intercollegiate black belt karate Grand Champion formed Special Dragons in 2012. It was formed due to the lack of physical sport activities available to children with special needs. George envisioned combining his special-education background with his martial arts experience, and Special Dragons Karate was born.

WE GET RESULTS! Special Dragons classes use basic karate techniques to address challenges like, eye/hand coordination, motor control, balance, sensory integration, conditioning, focus, and time on task. The students show dramatic improvement cognitive processing speed as well as aiding in Neuroplasticity, and other challenges faced by those with special needs.

Special Dragons is a true special needs program. It is designed by special education teachers and black-belts. Along with our instructors, parents are allowed to participate with their children for a wonderful learning and bonding experience. We keep students engaged for the entire duration of the class.

Special Dragons works with both county and state agencies who sponsor children and adults with special needs as well as individuals and families.
