Lake Hiawatha (Parsippany)

This is a great park just off the main street in Lake Hiawatha which is part of Parsippany. It’s easy to get to from Routes 287, 80 and 46 and you’ll find two different play structures, lots of picnicking, bathrooms, baseball fields and a brand new skate park.  There are great sculptures to climb and plenty of spots to sit and relax as you watch the kids play.

Make a Day of It:  The tiny Lake Hiawatha branch of the Parsippany Public Library has an adorable children’s section with cool fish tanks and stuffed animals.  North Beverwyck offers lots of restaurants and shops.
