YMCA of MEWSA Summer Camps

Summer at the YMCA of Metuchen, Edison, Woodbridge & South Amboy is a time for growth, adventure, and lasting friendships. Across our camps in Metuchen, Edison, Woodbridge Township, Piscataway, South Amboy, and Perth Amboy, children from grades K-8 enjoy a summer filled with fun, exploration, and meaningful connections. All camps include swimming, allowing campers to stay active, build confidence in the water, and cool off while having fun with friends.

We believe every child deserves the chance to experience the magic of summer camp. That’s why we offer financial assistance to eligible families and accept state subsidies, ensuring camp is accessible and welcoming to all. Guided by our core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility, we provide a safe, inclusive environment where children develop new skills, build confidence, and create lifelong memories while having their best summer ever.

A typical day at summer camp with the YMCA of Metuchen, Edison, Woodbridge & South Amboy is thoughtfully designed to keep children engaged, active, and inspired. Each day begins at 8 A.M. with opening ceremonies that set a positive tone and build a sense of community among campers. From 9 A.M. to 4 P.M., children participate in a variety of age-appropriate activities, including arts and crafts, sports, skill-building games, and regular swimming, helping them stay active while developing confidence and new friendships. The day concludes with closing ceremonies at 4 P.M., followed by pick-up beginning at 5 P.M., with optional Before and After Care available for added convenience.

In addition to traditional camp experiences, we offer specialty programs to match a wide range of interests, including a travel camp that explores exciting destinations and a STEM camp that encourages creativity, innovation, and hands-on learning.
