Saddle River County Park - Otto C. Pehle Area
Multi-use pathway/Bicycle-Pedestrian Path: This bike and pedestrian path travels from Ridgewood to Rochelle Park and is approximately 6 miles in length. This continuous path runs through Ridgewood, Glen Rock, Fair Lawn, Paramus, Saddle Brook and Rochelle Park and under Route 4. This path also follows the Saddle River and Ho-Ho-Kus Brook and passes by the Historic Easton Tower at Route 4. The path features a scenic waterfall at Dunkerhook Park, and there are three ponds, tree shaded picnic areas, pavilions, playgrounds, tennis courts and athletic fields accessible along the path.
Tremendous playground that sits alongside a beautiful pond with a central water fountain. All the equipment is bright purple and green and partially shaded. The big kid structures have lots and lots of steps, tunnels and bridges. A great playground for little monkeys with climbing galore!
Make a Day of It: You can easily spend a day in this section of the Saddle River County Park. A small concession stand is open during the Summer months and there's a building with restrooms that's open year round. There's fishing, baseball, tennis, basketball and many paved paths for exploring.
