Nomahegan Park

This shady park has 2 playgrounds perfect for pre-school and school-age kids, with tot swings and regular ones in between. The larger playground is a great match for kids who like to climb. It also boasts a 2 mile walking/running loop. There is also a flat bike-path that runs through the park, however for little kids the paths around the lake are perfect for a short distance. The bridge over the lake is ideal for feeding the ducks and geese.

Make a Day of It: Check out the Union County Parks Website for upcoming events and festivals. A farmers market is on the other side of the park, where you can pick up some fresh fruit. This site is also perfect for a picnic, with grills available.
